Softball Recap: Windsor Central Black Knights vs. Edison Spartans
Windsor Central extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 6-14 in the process. They came up short against the Edison Spartans, falling 10-4. The Black Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Windsor Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Baret, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
As for Edison, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.
On Edison's side, Rosie Wheeler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. Wheeler has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carissa Cowan was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Bella Moffe was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
As of now, neither Windsor Central nor Edison have any future games scheduled.
