Bishop McCort put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders 46-18. Given the Crushers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Marauders are ranked 71st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Bishop McCort to victory were Jon Delia and Bentley Bainey. Delia rushed for 133 yards and three TDs, while Bainey threw for 117 yards and four touchdowns. Delia is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Nick Dressick was in the mix too, providing Bishop McCort with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop McCort was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 228 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Bishop McCort didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bainey and Angelo Gallucci.

Bishop McCort's record is now 10-0. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop McCort will host Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Crushers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Purchase Line at 7:00 p.m.
