Soccer Recap: Desert View Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buena, Desert View was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Maricopa Rams a 3-0 shutout. The Jaguars better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Jaelyn Saenz, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Desert View moved to 5-9-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Maricopa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Desert View challenge the Cienega at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
