Basketball Game Preview: Creston Panthers vs. Atlantic Trojans

The Creston Panthers will square off against the Atlantic Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Creston came up into this matchup off a tough 31-point loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of St. Albert by a score of 59-56 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Atlantic beat Clarinda 55-44 on Tuesday.

Atlantic's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Creston, they now also have a losing record at 1-2.

Creston couldn't quite finish off Atlantic in their previous meeting back in January and fell 75-73. Can Creston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
