Basketball Game Recap: Monroe Hornets vs. Middletown Middies

The Monroe Hornets lost against the Middletown Middies back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Monroe took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Middletown. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Monroe in their matchups with Middletown: they've now lost three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Middletown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Daniels, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Persha Edwards, who scored ten points.

Monroe now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will take on Clinton-Massie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middletown, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
