The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bermudian Springs and York Catholic had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Fighting Irish on Monday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Skyler Gentzler looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Bermudian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Susquehannock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past York Suburban 5-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Andrew Unglesbee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Susquehannock's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Unglesbee was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

In other batting news, Drew Hargest was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bermudian Springs pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Susquehannock, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bermudian Springs has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Susquehannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Bermudian Springs might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Susquehannock in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
