Preview: Buffalo Seminary Red-Tailed Hawks vs. The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers
The Buffalo Seminary Red-Tailed Hawks will head out on the road to challenge The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buffalo Seminary is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Buffalo Seminary humbled Tapestry with a 53-22 victory. The win was just what Buffalo Seminary needed coming off of a 58-30 defeat in their prior contest.
Buffalo Seminary's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roslyn Osei-Gymafi, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Osei-Gymafi has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Reynolds, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, The Park School of Buffalo were a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They were dealt a 91-18 defeat at the hands of Aquinas Institute. While losing is never fun, The Park School of Buffalo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Aquinas Institute is ranked 40th).
Alana Wilson was The Park School of Buffalo's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Buffalo Seminary's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for The Park School of Buffalo, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.
Buffalo Seminary suffered a grim 37-17 defeat to The Park School of Buffalo in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Buffalo Seminary avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
