Basketball Recap: Lake Shore Takes a Loss

Lake Shore lost against St. Clair back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lake Shore Shorians came up short against the St. Clair Saints, falling 43-19. While losing is never fun, the Shorians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Saints are ranked 159th).

Lake Shore has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for St. Clair, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Shore will square off against L'Anse Creuse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Shore is facing L'Anse Creuse at the right time seeing as L'Anse Creuse is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Clair, they will challenge Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
