Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian Academy suffered their closest defeat since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the DeLand Bulldogs by a score of 4-2. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2021.

Trinity Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden McManama, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. McManama has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Trinity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for DeLand, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13.

Coming up, Trinity Christian Academy will square off against Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for DeLand, they will face off against Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
