Volleyball Recap: Upper Sandusky Takes a Loss

Upper Sandusky lost against Mohawk back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Warriors. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-9.

Madison Hart paced Upper Sandusky's offense, picking up eight kills. Hart got some help from Kennedy Guinther and her 11 assists. Hart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Emerson Gurney, who had 11 digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 17 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cara Peterson, who had four digs and three aces.

Upper Sandusky's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Mohawk, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Upper Sandusky and Bellevue will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mohawk, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hopewell-Loudon on the 15th.
