Heritage Christian is 8-2 against Maranatha since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Minutemen at 3:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Heritage Christian's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Maranatha has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Heritage Christian made easy work of North Hollywood and carried off a 10-3 victory. Considering the Warriors have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Soraya Chavez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Helen Rios, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Maranatha lost 16-5 to Village Christian on Thursday.
Sadie Sullens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and three runs. Ella Klop was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Heritage Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Maranatha, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
Maranatha's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for Maranatha, though, as they've only averaged .240. Will they be able to contain Heritage Christian's hitters?
