With a playoff win on the line, Doral Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Western Wildcats, posting a 76-30 victory. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Doral Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Stephanie Vega led the charge by going 8-for-10 on her way to 21 points. The dominant performance also gave Vega a new career-high in shooting accuracy (80%). Another player making a difference was Victoria Valle, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points along with five assists and four steals.

The win was the sixth in a row for Doral Academy, bringing their record for this year to 20-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.5 points. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Doral Academy has already played their next game, a 55-54 victory against Miami on the 21st. Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
