Recap: North Forsyth Raiders vs. Langston Hughes Panthers
The North Forsyth Raiders and the Langston Hughes Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the North Forsyth Raiders had to settle for second. North Forsyth was outmatched by Langston Hughes on the road and fell 41-7. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, North Forsyth couldn't push the score so high this time.
Elijah Seaney threw for 183 yards and a touchdown. Brady Holbrook was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground, Karson McBrayer rushed for 36 yards.
Langston Hughes can attribute much of their success to Justus Savage, who rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Savage was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Prentiss air Noland was another key contributor, throwing for 225 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes.
North Forsyth now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Langston Hughes, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
North Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Langston Hughes will head out on the road to face off against Rome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rome is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
