Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson vs. Newman Greenies

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, Thomas Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Newman Greenies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Thomas Jefferson also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Kamberr Lombas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Lombas was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Addison Cuccia was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in February. Ava Pastor also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
