Basketball Recap: North Marion Gets the Win

North Marion hadn't done well against Seaside recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The North Marion Huskies had just enough and edged the Seaside Seagulls out 55-52. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Seagulls are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Marion is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Seaside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

North Marion has already played their next contest, a 59-54 win against Gladstone on the 4th. As for Seaside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-36 victory against Stevenson on the 4th.
