Soccer Game Preview: Fredericksburg Christian vs. Highland

Fredericksburg Christian is 0-9-1 against Highland since April of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m.

Fredericksburg Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Saint Gertrude, who was ranked 14th at the time (Fredericksburg Christian was ranked 18th). The Eagles fell just short of the Gators by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Fredericksburg Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over Fredericksburg Academy on Thursday. Considering Highland have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Fredericksburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
