Baseball Recap: Millennium Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Millennium's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the River Islands Riptide 5-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Millennium saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ares Araujo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Armahn Nabi was another, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Millennium now has a winning record of 8-7. As for River Islands, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Millennium beat the Riptide by a score of 16-1 on Friday.
