Soccer Game Preview: North Iredell vs. Foard

The North Iredell Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Foard Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Iredell's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for North Iredell's offense. They fell just short of Hibriten by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for North Iredell in their meetings with Hibriten: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Foard entered their tilt with West Iredell last Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 6-0. Foard's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

North Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-4. As for Foard, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

North Iredell couldn't quite get it done against Foard when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
