Baseball Recap: Rye Neck Comes Up Short

Rye Neck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Valhalla Vikings. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Rye Neck saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ronan Sutter, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Sutter's first of the season.

Rye Neck now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Valhalla, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Rye Neck is taking a road trip to face off against Pleasantville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valhalla, they will face off against Hastings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
