Softball Recap: Cleveland Heights Has No Trouble Against Euclid

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Medina, Cleveland Heights was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Euclid Panthers as they made off with a 20-14 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Cleveland Heights got a massive performance out of Sheridan Sweeney, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Nylah Starr, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

The win got Cleveland Heights back to even at 1-1. As for Euclid, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland Heights will take on Brush at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Euclid, they will face off against Medina at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Battling Bees have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
