Recap: Celeste Blue Devils vs. Whitewright Tigers
The Celeste Blue Devils can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 55-15 win over Whitewright at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Celeste has posted since November 21, 2023.
Celeste got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Compton out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Compton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Taylea West was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Celeste's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. As for Whitewright, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
Celeste will head out on the road to challenge Wolfe City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitewright, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sam Rayburn at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
