Soccer Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Villa Park Spartans. That's two games in a row now that Foothill have lost by exactly two goals.

Damian Salazar and Garrett Zehner scored both of Foothill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-3. As for Villa Park, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill will take on rival Sunny Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Villa Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Brea Olinda at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
