Preview: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. Bishop Carroll Huskies
After two games on the road, Ligonier Valley is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Bishop Carroll Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Ligonier Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Bishop Carroll is ranked 214th).
On Wednesday, Ligonier Valley was beaten by Westmont Hilltop 91-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ligonier Valley has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll blew past Meyersdale, posting a 73-35 victory on the road. The win was just what Bishop Carroll needed coming off of a 92-63 loss in their prior game.
Jace Casses and Luke Repko were among the main playmakers for Bishop Carroll as the former scored 24 points along with five steals and the latter scored 23 points along with nine steals. The game was Casses' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Tremel, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Ligonier Valley bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bishop Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
