Baseball Recap: Centerville Finds Playoff Glory Versus Cushing

Centerville extended their postseason success on Thursday against Cushing. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Bearkats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-5 on Thursday.

Wyatt Rayburn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Brooke was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Centerville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-1 record this season. As for Cushing, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Coming up, Centerville will square off against Garrison on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Cushing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
