Volleyball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs

Gilbert is 0-4 against Corona del Sol since March of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Aztecs at 5:30 p.m.

Gilbert is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Williams Field.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-10.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Corona del Sol, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Maryvale on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Aztecs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-13. As for Gilbert, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Gilbert couldn't quite get it done against Corona del Sol in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
