Volleyball Recap: Three Lakes Falls Short of Shiocton in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Three Lakes couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Shiocton Chiefs by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Three Lakes took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 17-25, 27-25, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Three Lakes saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Kowalkowski had ten digs.

Three Lakes has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 31-11 record this season. As for Shiocton, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-11.

Three Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shiocton, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Wabeno/Laona on the 30th.
