Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Barons vs. Boca Raton Christian Blazers

The St. Petersburg Catholic Barons pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boca Raton Christian. St. Petersburg Catholic found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 18 to 4 on offense.

Several Barons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tj Newton, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Berry, who scored 12 points.

It was another big night for Joshua Good, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds for Boca Raton Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Good has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cody Fillion, who scored 16 points.

St. Petersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Boca Raton Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

St. Petersburg Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against City of Life Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. City of Life Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully St. Petersburg Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Boca Raton Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Edward's at 1:30 a.m. on January 20th.
