This past weekend in high school football was filled with upsets, great games and national powers playing the part. Bishop Gorman extended its win streak to 55 with a 35-23 win against DeMatha. Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw for nearly 300 yards and had five total touchdowns in his first career start at quarterback. It doesn't get any easier for the Gaels as they have a Friday night showdown against No. 1 Mater Dei.

St. Thomas Aquinas won a 9-3 defensive battle in overtime against Southern California power St. John Bosco.

IMG Academy traveled to Arizona and cruised to a 27-14 win against Chandler. 2019 Alabama commit Trey Sanders rushed for nearly 150 yards on only seven carries. The top rated defensive player in the Class of 2018 Xavier Thomas had a big-time game and was in the Chandler backfield all night. Just when the Wolves started to click on offense Jacob Conover went down with a shoulder injury near the end of the second quarter and missed the second half.
