Las Cruces is 9-1 against Gadsden since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldawgs will square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Las Cruces has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Las Cruces will head out to face Gadsden after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Bulldawgs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Bulldawgs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Trojans since on Thursday.

Las Cruces saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Parra, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Gadsden's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Organ Mountain on Thursday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Las Cruces' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Gadsden, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Everything went Las Cruces' way against Gadsden in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Las Cruces made off with an 11-1 win. Will the Bulldawgs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
