Adam Davis threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as
Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, Mo.) defeated Macon Road Baptist (Memphis, Tenn.) 40-6 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on an Davis touchdown pass to
Parker Crain in the first quarter, the Chargers/Eagles led 21-0 at the half.
Lighthouse Christian expanded its lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. LC scored two times in the third, including once on an Davis touchdown run.
Macon Road Baptist's only touchdown came on a 3-yard run by Bryant Anderson in the fourth quarter.
The Springfield school went into the matchup giving up only 15.0 points per game. Macon Road Baptist's six points were well below its season average of 19.9 per game.
With the win the Chargers/Eagles extended their winning streak to three games.
Lighthouse Christian (7-2) will play a non-conference game against Oklahoma City Legion next week. The Legionnaires go into the week with a record of 1-5.
