Lexington had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the C.H. Yoe Yoemen. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lexington wouldn't go down easily and took C.H. Yoe into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 24-26, 22-25, 15-8.

Macie Blok paced Lexington's offense, picking up 15 kills. Blok got some help from Emilia Bayer and her 29 assists. Teal Brockenbush controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for C.H. Yoe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lexington is set to challenge their familiar foe Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, C.H. Yoe will square off against rival Thrall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
