Basketball Recap: Windham Triumphs

Windham hadn't done well against Gorham recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Windham Eagles pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Gorham Rams. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 33-25 loss.

Windham's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Gorham, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windham will square off against Bangor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gorham, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Cheverus at 4:30 p.m.
