            Baseball Preview: W.S. Neal Eagles vs. Northview Chiefs        
        
		
        
        
            W.S. Neal hasn't had much luck against Northview recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The W.S. Neal Eagles will host the Northview Chiefs  at 6:30  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
W.S. Neal had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Excel on Friday. W.S. Neal was the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over Excel. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Eagles have posted  since April 2, 2024.
 Easton Grace and  Eli Stone did most of the damage at the plate:  Grace  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  RBI, while  Stone  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Stone has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Ja'sean Jones, who  scored a  run.
 W.S. Neal  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Excel only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
Meanwhile, Northview made easy work of Walton  on Friday and carried off  a  12-1 victory.
 The team  relied heavily on  Brady Smith, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jase Portwood, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Northview's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for W.S. Neal, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 W.S. Neal might still be hurting after the  9-1 loss they got from Northview  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can W.S. Neal avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
