Basketball Recap: Macon-East Montgomery Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Omarion Wilson and Micah Andrews

Macon-East Montgomery Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 48-38 to the Hooper Academy Colts. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-27 back in December of 2024.

Micah Andrews and Omarion Wilson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Andrews posted nine points and seven rebounds, while Wilson had 14 points and six rebounds. Wilson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hooper Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy will square off against Southern Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hooper Academy, they will take on Lowndes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
