Softball Game Preview: North Greene Spartans vs. Brown County Hornets

North Greene is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Brown County a ten-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The North Greene Spartans will be playing at home against the Brown County Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for North Greene's offense. They came up short against Carrollton on Monday, falling 27-0.

Meanwhile, Brown County lost 19-1 to Pittsfield on Tuesday.

Brown County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for North Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

North Greene took their win against Brown County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-7 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
