Soccer Recap: Marianapolis Prep Comes Up Short

Marianapolis Prep managed to slip by Cushing Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Knights came up short against the Penguins on Wednesday, falling 5-1. The contest was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Marianapolis Prep it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Xavier Fix, who's now up to five this season.

Marianapolis Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Cushing Academy, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8-2.

Coming up, Marianapolis Prep will head out on the road to face off against Kingswood Oxford at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cushing Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul's at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
