Sidwell Friends picks up 11th straight win on the road

Recap: Sidwell Friends Quakers vs. Potomac School Panthers

The Sidwell Friends Quakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 73-51 margin over Potomac School. Sidwell Friends has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Sidwell Friends got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendall Dudley out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Dudley hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Jayla Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds.

Sidwell Friends used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Potomac School. And. Jayda Dixon made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with eight assists and four steals. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoe Myslewicz, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zora Burrell, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Sidwell Friends pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Potomac School, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Sidwell Friends is on the road again on Thursday and plays Connelly School of the Holy Child at 5:45 p.m. on February 1st. Hopefully Sidwell Friends focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Potomac School, they will head out on the road to square off against Maret at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Maret is ranked 14th in District of Columbia, while Potomac School is ranked ninth in Virginia).
