Basketball Recap: Parker Buetow's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian Academy over Pamlico Christian Academy

Heritage Christian Academy lost against Pamlico Christian Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Heritage Christian Academy Patriots fell 56-43 to the Pamlico Christian Academy Mariners. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Parker Buetow, who posted 18 points. The contest was Buetow's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Anderson, who earned 11 points.

Pamlico Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was James Howard out in front who put up 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Howard has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Trent Gaskins was another key player, putting up 15 points and eight rebounds.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Heritage Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 58-52 win against Ahoskie Christian on the 28th. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-29 victory against Mount Calvary Christian Academy on the 28th.
