Football Game Preview: Deep Creek Hornets vs. Green Run Stallions + How To Watch

The Deep Creek Hornets will head out to square off against the Green Run Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Deep Creek took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They snuck past Grassfield with a 31-27 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Green Run took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-14 victory over Ocean Lakes. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stallions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Dolphins are ranked 231st).

Deep Creek's record now sits at 4-6. As for Green Run, their record is now 10-0.

Deep Creek came up short against Green Run in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 17-12. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
