Basketball Game Preview: Thornton Fractional North Meteors vs. Oak Forest Bengals

Thornton Fractional North and Oak Forest are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Thornton Fractional North Meteors will host the Oak Forest Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Sunday, Thornton Fractional North ended up a good deal behind Central and lost 59-40. The contest marked the Meteors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest wrapped up 2024 with a 55-41 win over Buffalo Grove. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bengals.

Oak Forest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Thornton Fractional North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
