Basketball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks

Two dominant guards in Nassir Cobbs and Ky'Jaun Mccutcheon are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Tempe Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tempe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Desert Sunrise likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tempe beat Crismon 55-50.

Meanwhile, Desert Sunrise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 80-22 loss at the hands of Cortez. While losing is never fun, the Golden Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Colts are ranked 78th).

Desert Sunrise's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Tempe, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
