Baseball Recap: San Gorgonio Victorious

San Gorgonio lost to Rim of the World on Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Fighting Scots 8-7. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Edgar Soto was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. San Gorgonio is 3-1 when Soto posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-11 otherwise. Milton Perez was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

San Gorgonio's record now sits at 5-12. As for Rim of the World, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

San Gorgonio has already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against Fontana on the 28th. As for Rim of the World, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-5 loss against Notre Dame on the 28th.
