Volleyball Recap: Dover Starts Season with Win Against Onteora

Dover took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Onteora Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Dover got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Arnold out in front who had 12 assists and five aces. Lenna Bova was another key player, getting six aces.

They weren't the only good server: Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Dover has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Millbrook on the 4th. As for Onteora, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Highland on the 4th.
