Basketball Recap: Stephen Moss Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Berean Christian

Morningside Academy won the last time they faced Berean Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Morningside Academy Eagles strolled past the Berean Christian Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 56-37.

Morningside Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stephen Moss, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Moss a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was AJ Chang, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists.

Berean Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Alyk Smith and Matthew Wall. Smith posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and five assists, while Wall put up 15 points and five rebounds. Smith is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

Morningside Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Berean Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Morningside Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-45 win against Greenacres Christian on the 10th. As for Berean Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-46 loss against FAU High on the 13th.
