Basketball Recap: George Hoffman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Kongiganak

Eek won the last time they faced Kongiganak and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eek Cougars walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Kongiganak Wolverines. The win almost wasn't to be: the Cougars were down 46-30 in the second quarter.

Eek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from George Hoffman, who posted 31 points. The game was Hoffman's fifth in a row with at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was John Friendly, who scored 19 points.

Eek's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Kongiganak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Eek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-49 loss against Chief Paul Memorial on the 22nd. Kongiganak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
