Basketball Game Preview: Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots vs. Gospel Light Christian

The Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots will face off against Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Surry HomeSchool made off with a 43-42 victory over Woodland Baptist Christian.

Among those leading the charge was Lindsay Easter, who posted 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Liza Gullion, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Gospel Light Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past Cramerton Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 51-35.

Surry HomeSchool skirted past Gospel Light Christian 36-33 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Gospel Light Christian's Maggie Jo Church, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 boards.
