Hanover Area's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  63-0 win over the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Hawkeyes, who have now won six contests by 35  points or more  so far this season.
 Logan Richardson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 190 yards and five  TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  passer rating (167.8). Another player making a difference was  Deacon Eisenbach, who picked up 88 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Dawin Downey, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from  Conor Richardson.
Hanover Area has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 43.4 points over those games. As for Greater Nanticoke Area,  they are  on  a  16-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 Coming up, Hanover Area will head out on the road to  take on  Berwick  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 9.2  points per game  this season, so the Hawkeyes' offense will have their work cut out for them. Greater Nanticoke Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
