Smithson Valley sees their postseason come to a close

Recap: Smithson Valley Rangers vs. Aledo Bearcats
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Smithson Valley Rangers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Bearcats on Friday, falling 51-8. Smithson Valley's defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.
Hawk Patrick-Daniels was on fire for Aledo: he rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Hauss Hejny, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes.
Smithson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Aledo, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
Smithson Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Aledo also has no future games currently scheduled.
