Baseball Recap: South River Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

South River waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over Crofton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Seahawks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Hooker, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Hooker wasn't the only one making solid contact: South River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.

South River pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Crofton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-5.
