Baseball Recap: Providence Christian Takes a Loss

Providence Christian was the 9-6 winner over Auburn when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Providence Christian Eagles took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Auburn Tigers on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Providence Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Canady, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, Canady posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Grayson Creel also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Providence Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Auburn, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Providence Christian and Auburn will both be playing Stanhope Elmore the next time they take the field. Providence Christian will head out to face Stanhope Elmore at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Auburn will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
